Glaskas – Aan die Ontmaskerde Heldin
Ever since I met Lolke-Louis “Buddah”, the drummer of Glaskas, in 2011 for a pre-wedding shoot with Nikki, I have become even a bigger fan of their music. This is one of their great tracks. I had the priviledge of photographing their fantastic wedding in January 2012.
Split second, last a lifetime
The thing itself need only exist for one two-fiftieth of a second, the time it takes to take a photograph. It is the photograph which need have the duration since it is the photograph which is printed in newspapers and magazines, sent through the post, broadcast through the air, projected onto walls––not the event itself.

Lolke-Louis and Nikki – Pre-Wedding Shoot
I recently received a call from Nikki to meet regarding their wedding photography, Nikki is engaged to Lolke-Louis Classen, drummer in the band, Glaskas. I have dreamt of being a drum player, in my younger years…. And thus I asked Lolke-Louis, or Buddah, as his friends call him, to bring his drum kit to our studio in Alberton for the pre-wedding shoot, and what a show it was!! We has some much fun! Even Nikki played a couple of drum beats, with Lolke showing her all the tricks.
